Benjamin was 14 years old when he ran away from home to join the Moscow Circus. He had no money. He slept out in the shed with the tour buses.
A Chinese magician, touring with the circus, asked Benjamin to become his assistant. Benjamin jumped at the chance! He learned magic and juggling. Eventually, he was allowed to attend the Moscow Circus School where he learned team juggling, acrobatic routines and clowning. His dreams had come true.
Benjamin travelled all over the world with the Moscow Circus. He toured through Russia, Europe, Africa and Asia. One of his most demanding routines involved leaping on the back of galloping white stallions while juggling and tossing Indian clubs to his partner standing on the ground.
